"North Woods Nonsense" from Reno Little Theater - November 11, 12, 18, 19, 2022 at 7 p.m. and November 13, 20, 2022 at 2 p.m. The play centers around a run-down hotel at Moose Bottom Lake in northern Maine. Handyman Pete has written a completely fictional article for the tacky tabloid "The National Divulger" about Bigfoot kidnapping a local resident. Imagine the zany fun that converges at the hotel. In the early days of Virginia City, newspaper columns offered both real news and tall tales. It was often hard to tell the difference. Wolf Pack Football - Saturday, November 19, 2022. The Nevada Wolf Pack football team takes on the Fresno State Bulldogs at Mackay Stadium in Reno. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. Go Pack! Sky Tavern Ski Swap - Friday and Saturday, November 18 - 19, 2022. The swap will be at the former Sports Authority store, 4813 Kietzke Lane in Reno. New and used winter gear will be for sale at great prices - skis, boards, boots and clothes. Individual sellers can bring in gear to sell. The swap will be open to the public from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. All sales benefit community efforts to get kids outside and on the slopes. Tipsy Turkey Wine Walk - Saturday, November 19, 2022. The Riverwalk Merchants present this fun event every third Saturday of the month. In November, it's themed for Thanksgiving and costumes are encouraged. Visit any of the start locations with $30 and receive your wine glass and hand stamp (with photo ID), then make the rounds sampling wines at numerous businesses in the area from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. This is a 21+ event.
