Bruka's BIGGEST little Theatre & New Works Festival 2021 - Thursday through Saturday, November 4 - 6, 2021. The TENTH annual BIGGEST little Theatre & New Works Festival at Brüka Theatre comes back live and in person as a showcase and experimental platform for original theatre pieces featuring traditional and nontraditional performances and stage readings created by local and regional performing artists. "Chemistry of the Cocktail" at The Discovery - Friday, November 5, 2021, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Get ready to mix up some fun at Chemistry of the Cocktail — The Discovery’s premier annual fundraising event. Stroll Parisian street scenes while you sample French-inspired cocktails, enjoy a delicious menu created by the experts at Blend Catering, and take part in hands-on cocktail chemistry experiments, all while providing much-needed financial support for The Discovery. "Hebrew Cemeteries in Northern Nevada" from Historic Reno Preservation Society - Tuesday, November 9, 2021, 5:30 p.m. This presentation looks at the early days of Jewish presence in Nevada and the need to establish cemeteries for their population. The Comstock brought Jews to Nevada—engineers, storekeepers, traders, doctors, journalists, lawyers and of course, fortune seekers. This is a virtual presentation via Zoom. Registration required. Reno Veterans Day Parade - Thursday, November 11, 2021, starting at 11:11 a.m. After being a virtual event in 2020, the Reno Veterans Day Parade returns as a live event marching along Virginia Street through downtown Reno. Come enjoy this rousing parade and support our veterans that have served us over the years.

2021 Annual Awards Banquet for Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows - Thursday, November 11, 2021, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Join us for an evening of awards and celebrating all those who make the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows a "sea" of possibility. We will be honoring the Male & Female Youths of the Year and the 2021 Distinguished Service Award Winner. The theme is "Let's Make Some Waves." Washoe County Library Book Sale - November 13 - 21, 2021. Sales are in the book store next door to the Sierra View Library in the Reno Town Mall. This is your chance to get big bargains on books and other media while supporting your Washoe County Library System. Sale hours are every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Preview day for Friends members is on the Friday before each sale period, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. If you aren't a member, you can join Friends at the door.

Hands ON! Second Saturdays - Saturday, November 13, 2021. Come to the Nevada Museum of Art for a day of fun family activities and free admission for all. Participate in hands-on art projects, storytelling, live music, tours and more. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can extend the experience with Hands ON! at Home.

Science Saturdays at the National Automobile Museum - Saturday, November 13, 2021, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Join in on the adventures that are out of this world, with "Eating in Space." Admission is $12 per person for children and adults, which also includes admission to the Museum. For participants in 3rd through 6th grade, but it's fun for the whole family. 14th Annual Meet the Turkeys at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park - Saturday, November 13, 2021, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Celebrate the season of the turkey by bringing the family to Rancho San Rafael Regional Park for this free event. In addition to Rancho San Rafael's heritage turkey and chickens, the community can also enjoy story time hosted by the Washoe County Library, explore the Discovery Room, check out antique engines and tractors, and browse the booths of many local organizations. Urban Grinders will be roasting local coffee and hot chocolate to keep everyone toasty and warm. Please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. 2021 Polar Express on the V&T Railroad - The Polar Express™ for the 2021 Christmas holiday season will visit the North Pole on select dates from November 19 through December 24. Sky Tavern Ski Swap - Friday and Saturday, November 19 - 20, 2021. The swap will be at the former Sports Authority store, 4813 Kietzke Lane in Reno. New and used winter gear will be for sale at great prices - skis, boards, boots and clothes. Individual sellers can bring in gear to sell. The swap will be open to the public from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. All sales benefit community efforts to get kids outside and on the slopes.

23rd Annual Fall Fest 2021 - Friday and Saturday, November 19 - 20, 2021, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Come and shop for jewelry, beadwork, arts and crafts, baked goods, Indian tacos and lots more. Warren Miller's "Winter Starts Now" - Friday, November 19, 2021, 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. High Fives Foundation brings you back into The Reno Ballroom (401 N. Center St.) for Warren Miller's 72nd feature film. Winter Starts Now is a "love letter" to that special place on the calendar – the winter season. The evening will include an array of winter sports vendors, raffle prizes, celebrity athletes, and the opportunity to see two amazing films. Tickets available online.

Spellbinders International Festival of Magic - November 19 - 21, 2021. This free festival will be held at various branches of the Washoe County Library and at various times. All ages are welcome, but you must register from the website to attend. The festival features gold medal-winning world champions of magic from around the globe.

Jurassic Quest - Friday through Sunday, November 19 - 21, 2021. Guests walk through the Cretaceous, Jurassic and Triassic Periods and experience for themselves what it was like to be among dinosaurs of all kinds. Jurassic Quest is the only interactive dinosaur event that has over 100 true to life-size animatronic dinosaurs in each of its indoor touring shows from the very small to the gigantic. Tipsy Turkey Wine Walk - Saturday, November 20, 2021. The Riverwalk Merchants present this fun event every third Saturday of the month. In November, it's themed for Thanksgiving and costumes are encouraged. Visit any of the start locations with $30 and receive your wine glass and hand stamp (with photo ID), then make the rounds sampling wines at numerous businesses in the area from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. This is a 21+ event. Holiday Family Arts Festival at Arts for All Nevada - Saturday, November 20, 2021, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Arts for All Nevada is presenting this event with art stations for kids, ornament making, a free book for each child, visits with Santa, and more. Thanksgiving Day Weekend - Thursday, November 25, 2021. There are lots of things to do on Thanksgiving Day and throughout the Thanksgiving weekend.

Dining Out on Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 25, 2021. Reno area hotel/casinos and some restaurants put on big spreads for Thanksgiving dinner. Look these over if eating out sounds better than cooking all day and then cleaning up.

Wolf Pack Football - Saturday, November 27, 2021. The Nevada Wolf Pack football team takes on the Colorado State University Rams at Fort Collins, CO. Kickoff is 6 p.m. Go Pack!

Lights Up! at The Summit - Saturday, November 27, 2021, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Join The Summit and the Reno Phil Chorus to ring in the season with the annual Lights Up tree lighting. This is a free event for all to attend. There will be performances, food trucks, a light show, raffles, vendors, giveaways and more. At The Summit, 13925 S. Virginia Street (intersection of Mt. Rose Highway and I580).

Grand Chanukah Menorah Lighting - Sunday, November 28, 2021, 4 p.m. The City of Reno and the Chabad of Northern Nevada will host the Grand Chanukah Menorah Lighting at the Reno City Plaza, 10 N. Virginia Street. Free and open to the public, featuring donuts, chocolate gelt, latkes and live music. Chanukah merch to the first 100 people.

Shop Small - Forget the Black Friday shopping frenzy after Thanksgiving. Use your shopping time and dollars to support locally owned businesses in the Reno area - keep your money here in the Truckee Meadows to improve our own economy and support your friends and neighbors rather than faceless corporations sucking money out of Nevada. "Spirit of the Season" from the Reno Philharmonic - Gather the family for a true holiday tradition. The Reno Phil, Reno Phil Chorus and conductor Jason Altieri invite you to the Spirit of the Season, a classic holiday celebration full of orchestral arrangements, jazzy numbers, traditional holiday tunes and carols. At the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. Choose from four showtimes and purchase tickets online.
