Guided walks through some of Reno's historic districts from the Historic Reno Preservation Society (HRPS) are open to the public. These walks (and occasional bike rides) are for you if you want to know more about Reno's colorful past and the remnants that remain scattered throughout the city.

May 2018 tours are on various days and start at various times. You can register online for these tours or call (775) 747-4478 for more information. Tours are free for HRPS members and $10 for non-members. Registration closes the day before the tour and the fee is collected just before each tour. Pets are not allowed.

Saturday Tours (start at 10 a.m.)

  • May 5 - Upper Ralston / Northern Little Italy
  • May 12 - Downtown Sparks
  • May 19 - Newlands Neighborhood
  • May 26 - Midtown Business District

Tuesday Tours (start at 6 p.m.)

  • May 15 - Monroe Street
  • May 22 - University Neighborhood
  • May 29 - Historic Truckee River Walk

June 2018 features a variety of historic walking tours on Tuesdays and Saturdays. You can register online for these tours or call (775) 747-4478 for more information. Tours are free for HRPS members and $10 for non-members. Registration closes the day before the tour. The fee is collected just before each tour. Pets are not allowed.

  • June 9 - Lake Addition (9 a.m.)
  • June 16 - Prohibition in Reno (9 a.m.)

  • July 7 - Truckee River All the Time
  • July 14 - Newlands Neighborhood
  • July 21 - West of Wells
  • July 28 - Mansions on the Bluff

Sunday Tours (start at 1 p.m.)

  • July 22 - Downtown Church Tour
