Brüka Theatre presents Dog Meets God - July, 2010

Reno, NV - Brüka Theatre proudly presents DOG SEES GOD: CONFESSIONS OF A TEENAGE BLOCKHEAD. Meet the characters from the Peanuts comic strip, ten years later. Writer Bert V. Royal re-imagines the ingenious characters that contradict their younger comic-strip selves and places them in a world full of controversy. Violence, sexual identity, drugs, and even suicide; Dog Sees God will take both teen and adult audience members to a world that they know all too well, and asks the question: Is there afterlife after high school? Androo Allen directs this follow-up to the Peanuts Gang now, deep into their acne phase, in a play about their teenage years, their misery isn't all that delightful anymore. A pyro ex-girlfriend, a stoner best-friend, a confused goth sister, a duo of drunk mean girls, a homophobic germaphobe, and a bullied pianist, engulfs "CB" in this hilarious yet dark comedy, and along the way takes him on a journey through self-discovery and peace of mind. The play's earliest incarnation won Best Overall Production at the New York 2004 International Fringe Festival.
